Perhaps the most classic and accessible of all the treks in the southern part of the Annapurna Valley. It is notable for the pretty village of Ghandruk, overlooked by Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre, and for the splendid views of several peaks over 8000m from Poon Hill.

A four-day trek through the southern part of the Annapurna Valley gives you the full experience of trekking in Nepal and the Himalayas.
The pretty village of Ghandruk, with its stone-roofed houses, flowers, cobbled streets and relaxed villagers. The tranquillity, the environment, and the views on Tadapani. Ghorepani, a small village of lodges and a meeting point for several treks through the area, including the famous Annapurna Circuit for those who do the full itinerary. And as a highlight, the magnificent views from Poon Hill with 3 peaks of more than 8000 metres in front of us. This includes the mass of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, although less identifiable, and Manaslu further to the east. But above all with the picturesque Machhapuchhre which, although it does not reach 8000 metres, stands out for its beauty.
In short, a route that offers a lot for only a few days and a moderate effort.

As this route is shorter and does not climb to high altitudes, in principle, it is not necessary to carry too much, although a jacket to keep us warm at sunrise on Poon Hill should be taken into account. For this reason, depending on the group, there will be one porter for every two or three hikers, which reduces the load to a maximum of 6 kilos per person.
You can also dispense with the porters if you consider carrying your load yourself.
This itinerary can be done in both directions, and both options are good… but different.
