The Annapurna Base Camp Trek, also known as Annapurna Sanctuary, runs through the entire deep valley of the Modi Khola always accompanied by the beautiful Machhapuchhre watching all our steps. Finally, we arrive at the spectacular cirque of high peaks that closes it, with the Annapurnas as a backdrop.

We head first to the beautiful village of Ghandruk, rising high above the valley. From Chomrong we descend into the valley within dense jungle and the sound of langurs in the forest. High walls surround us on both sides with their long waterfalls. Near the Machhapuchhre Base Camp, the valley opens up, revealing its high peaks, to end in the circus formed by the Annapurnas, with Annapurna I, 8091 meters high, as the culminating point. We return by the same route, deviating at the end towards Jhinu Danda. Here, a well-deserved bath in hot springs awaits us next to the river.
